Thames Water Works – commencing Wednesday 4 November 2009

Please note we have been advised by Thames Water that they are Replacing London’s Victorian water mains in the area starting with Chicheley Street on Wednesday 4 November 2009.
Thames Water have advised that they will be replacing the old cast iron pipes with new plastic ones to reduce leakage and burst pipes, as well as lessening the need for future repairs and roadworks.
Morrison Utilities will carry out these works.
Hours of works are:
Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
Saturday 8am to 1pm
During the work Thames Water advise there will be interruptions to your water supply, but they will notify you in advance.

Vandalism at County Hall

We are disappointed to have to inform you that recently someone has been scratching graffiti and obscene words on the inside of some of the lifts.
Not only is this distressing and offensive to other residents, it will also involve considerable cost to the service charge funds to replace the damaged panels.
Please be aware that we will not tolerate vandalism at County Hall.
We have already taken certain steps and we are making arrangements to cameras fitted in the lifts.

Car Park Entrance Works

IMPORTANT NOTICE
We are pleased to advise that the car park entrances to the North and South Blocks, are to be refurbished at basement level.
The works will commence on Tuesday 11th August and will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
During this time the entrances will be closed. Please kindly use the entrances at ground level during this period.
We thank you in advance for your patience during this time.

Leisure Centre Closures

We are pleased to announce that we are refurbishing the Leisure Centre showers.
These works will commence on Monday 10th August and will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.
During this period the gym will remain open but the changing rooms, swimming pool, sauna & steam room will be closed.

Waterloo Area Supplementary Planning Document

The revised Waterloo Area Supplementary Planning document is being reported to Lambeth Council on Monday 8 June for adoption as area planning guidance for Waterloo. You can view the Cabinet agenda, including the Revised SPD, Sustainability Appraisal and consultation report on Lambeth's website.
A schedule of all formal comments, including CHORA's response, can also been seen on the Lambeth website.

Udderbelly at the South Bank Centre - Have your say

The South Bank Centre is planning to bring Udderbelly to Hungerford Car Park (next to Jubilee Gardens) this summer. The venue, a giant upside down inflatable purple cow, will offer entertainments and alcohol until 11pm in the week and 1am at weekends.

Water Leakage

There have been a number of leaks from washing machine and dishwasher connections. These washers wear out quite frequently and need to be checked regularly.
You will find these connections under the kitchen sink and if there is a leak please attend to it immediately to prevent damage occurring to your and surrounding properties.
